About Us

The foundation for CarlynOaks Boxers has been a long time coming.  In 1993, I got my first brindle show bitch and we were off and running.  Angel was stunningly beautiful, showed like a dream and unfortunately could never get her second major.  Many of us have been there but it is never easy to accept.  She gave me three litters, yet my luck was no better – a new show dog was not meant to be.  Angel has crossed the Rainbow Bridge but was always a champion to me and will forever hold a very special place in my heart.

So moving forward was more of a challenge.  I needed to be more successful this time.  For nearly three years I watched, kept going to the shows, and kept looking for the perfect bitch to help me begin anew.  I knew what I liked – it was just a matter of time.  At the 2004 ABC in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky I learned of two available litters.  One litter was just over three months old and the other was two days old.  It was the two-day old litter that made my heart beat just a little faster.  It was a litter sired by CH Bee-Mike’s One Night Stand, aka Jordan.  Jordan was a favorite of mine since he came onto the circuit.  He wasn’t too big, he was beautiful, and oh, what a headpiece and face!  I wanted to know more about this litter and hopefully get my name on one.  So my relationship with Medley Small began.

Now three years later, Kara is everything I had hoped my new foundation bitch could be.  She is spirited and lots of fun.  She is beautiful, and oh, what a headpiece and face!  She is her father’s daughter.  She became an American champion on August 11, 2007 at the age of three and two months later was awarded her Canadian championship.  Wish me luck that Am/Can CH Heartacre’s Charisma of Cinnrhee is the foundation I have worked so hard for.

The next step is equally challenging – finding the right stud dog.  The search is on and time will tell.  First and foremost, breeding the healthiest boxer is the goal.  Passing a Doppler echocardiogram, Holter monitor test, and thyroid test are requirements for the bitches and stud dogs prior to breeding.

Thanks for visiting CarlynOaks Boxers and stay tuned.  I have great expectations!
